Are you new to yoga and are not sure what all of the fuss is about? This 4 week introductory series is just for you.
During This Series We’ll Explore:
~What Is Yoga? ~Brief Introduction To the 8 Limbs of Yoga ~ Yoga Asana (postures) Practice ~Exploration Of Different Styles of Yoga Asana
~ Introduction To Meditation & Pranayama (breath work) ~ Building Confidence To Attend Yoga Classes ~Personal Modifications & Listening To Your Body
~ Ways To Practice Yoga On & Off the Mat
Students will leave this series with an understanding of the fundamentals of yoga, including primary yoga poses and will have built the confidence to continue to attend beginner yoga classes as well as have the ability to safely start an at home practice. Each 2hr. Class will include a 20-30 min. lecture & discussion, 60-75 minute yoga asana practice + time for Q&A.
As an added bonus, students will have access to the NMY Foundations In Yoga Series Facebook group where students & teachercan continue to connect, discuss, ask questions and offer feedback between class sessions.

Week 2 June 4th: The Many Faces Of Yoga Asana + Introduction To Pranayama
Week 3 June 18th: Developing Your Own Personal Practice Safely In Any Class (*This class falls on Father's Day. If the students cannot make this date we will reschedule and the final class with be on July 9th)
Week 4 June 25th: How To Begin An At Home Yoga Practice On & Off The Mat + Introduction To Meditation
